Support and Advice from TNPC's Parenting Experts

It is normal for a male to experience pain with an erection. Often this pain is related to having an erection that is prolonged in time. That is an erection that might last 20 or 30 minutes can be painful. The reason for this is that an erection is the pooling of blood or accumulation of venous blood in the dilated or stretched penis. This is very similar to someone standing in place for a long period of time where the venous blood just does not move; often this causes pain in the legs. So it is very normal for a guy to have pain after sustaining a long erection time. also for most guys when the penis is erect, there normally is some curvature to the shaft of the penis. Often the tip of the penis will be curved upwards slightly. There is a reason for this curvature, since during intercourse the slightly curved penis more easily inserts into the vagina. However, the painful erection and the curvature of the penis during erection are not related. I hope this answer helps you.
