Odds are you have never heard of Zact Mobile. Hopefully after reading this review you will put it on your radar. If you have a young tween at home who is on the cusp of being ready for a cell phone of their own, this is about as good as it gets. Zact gives parents a level of mobile control the likes of which none of our testers had ever seen or imagined was possible. First lets discuss the money saving system of Zact. Unlike so many major carriers, the costs are straightforward, there are no hidden fees and if the preset monthly plan minutes you choose are not used, Zact automatically credits your account. This blew parents away. As for the control aspect of the service, parents can set up controls so kids cannot use their phone during school hours, (except to contact immediate family in case of an emergency). You can set controls for Internet use, game use, and even set up grounding rules. If you don’t want your child playing games on their phone after 9pm, you can cut that off too. Since kids know the deal going in. there are no arguments about time spent on the phone, no covering up or lying how much time was spent on apps or who they texted. The online monitoring report is the final word. Testers agreed, this is an ideal phone plan for a child who is just starting to use a phone, or for parents who want to monitor and control their usage.
